The long wait for GAIL Gas connections in South City is finally over! With the work rapidly progressing, we are already in the final part of the implementation of the project by GAIL in our premises. Many of you would recall the registration process that went on in 2018 for GAIL. After that phase, there were a number of impediments to the project which held it up for one reason or other (including the long break due to Covid, difficulties in laying the main gas pipelines towards South City, etc).

for their support for restarting the GAIL Gas project in South City. We are also thankful to Shri Tejasvi Surya who took special interest and took steps to expedite the project in J P Nagar wards.

The SUGRUHA Work Group convener and the team worked in collaboration with MP, MLA, ex-Corporator, and several GAIL officials for expedite the PNG (piped natural gas) connectivity to our homes in South City.
 
It was an arduous task of connecting, coordinating, and getting various clearances of a project long considered “dead”.  Over this period, possible solutions were worked out to connect to the GAIL Gas grid, This was re-initiated on 05 June 2025, the GAIL Gas project commenced after a Pooja near Gate 2 of South City; Registration and Q&A sessions were organised by SUGRUHA.

All consumers who have registered and have a BP number and if your mobile number is same what was in the registration form, you can download PNG Mitra App on to your phone to view your profile details, initiate payments (deposits, monthly bills etc).
